I recently had an annual service done for my caravan which included having the wheel bearings checked and repacked. While heading off for a weekend trip about a week later, the rear right wheel totally locked up just as we were heading out of a pullover zone. The vehicle lurched and bucked violently as we came to a complete stop on the highway with impatient drivers trying to speed past. We immediately rang RACQ who arranged for a tow truck to take us to Suncoast Caravan Service who diagnosed the problem immediately. They openly admitted that they must have over torqued the wheel nuts during the recent service and reassured my wife and I that things would be sorted out immediately. I was gob smacked that a company would be so willing to accept blame and replace all the broken parts including, wheel drums, linings and a new tyre, all at no cost to us. Nor did they suggest it was all our fault. The main takeaway from this whole issue was that we are all mere humans and are prone to making the odd mistake now and again. To be able to have a serious issue like this fixed so quickly and with an open and honest admission of blame so readily forthcoming, I find absolutely incredible when so many other businesses would simply walk away from their responsibility. Based upon this openness and honesty, I am more than certain, the good people at Suncoast Caravan Service will have my business for life. Besides, the staff are all very friendly, helpful and able to provide plenty of valuable and honest advice to ensure your caravan is always working at its best.
