Opened in 1965, Don Camillo is Hobart’s oldest restaurant, and it’s a rare local who hasn’t fond memories of dining there. Bentwood chairs, close-set tables topped with oil lanterns, and the pleasant hum of diners’ chatter extend a warm welcome as do attentive, knowledgeable staff. This family run business is now in the hands of the second generation, and though they’ve brought a fresh take to the classic Italian menu, they certainly haven’t forgotten Don Camillo’s long tradition of quality and consistency in service and food.
