LRB Dexter Cattle Stud commenced its own stud breeding program aiming to enhance its genetics of polled animals, after being successful in the show ring at local, shows, The Royal, and Interstate. Our young bull, LRB Caesar Augustus, born in August 2013 won a blue ribbon at the prestigious Queensland Dexter Breed Show, and was sold to a discerning breeder from Queensland.Our aim is to breed quality, polled animals with good dispositions for sale. We now have a small number of calves, and cows in calf for sale,We also have our bull, Sandycreek Galahad, who was the Grand Champion Bull at the Singleton Show 2014, and is available for servicing. Dexters are ideal for servicing larger cattle who are first time breeders, to ensure easier calving. Dexter cattle are a naturally small breed originating from Ireland, and are the smallest of the British breeds. Dexters are dual purpose for meat and milk. While Dexters come in Black, Red and Dun colors, our stud has focused on black Dexters at this stage. Being dual purpose they are ideal for people seeking a farming / self sufficiency lifestyle on smaller acreage whether they are looking for a pet, a lawn mower, a small cattle herd for market,or are aiming for the fun of showing their stud animals.
